- Hooghan Learning Circle meetings
- The Hooghan Learning Circle holds regular
meetings, exploring the relationship between Navajo and western
Christian cultures. Details are available through the Diocesan Office.
- The Rev. Dick Francis joins us as Utah Vicar
- He has already moved into the rectory and taken on
most of Fr. Corbett's duties. Fr. Corbett will remain in Bluff until
summer,
and perhaps beyond; he continues to support the visiting Navajoland
Partner parish groups for this transitional year.

Previous news items
- Bishop MacDonald appointed
- Mark
MacDonald was chosen to be the new Bishop of the
Episcopal Church in Navajoland at the Episcopal Church's General
Convention in June 2006. During a transition period lasting up to two
years, he will also remain Bishop of Alaska. He will make his first
official visit to Navajoland in the second week of August. We are
grateful for Bishop Kimsey's service as Assisting Bishop for the last
year.
- Rosella Jim and Pat Cook ordained
- Rosella Jim was ordained
as a priest in the New Mexico region in December 2005. Hers is the
first Navajo ordination in more than 10 years.
Pat Cook was ordained as a deacon in the Utah region,
at the same service.

- Bishop Rustin Kimsey was appointed
Assisting Bishop in Navajoland by the Presiding Bishop, Frank Griswold,
for an interim period of 2 years.
